The Tech Center, our industrial asset
The Group maintains its own innovation center and prototyping workshop, the Tech Center, situated in the North of France. This industrial asset, which concentrates a century of know-how, is a place of high creativity and expertise. It’s here that we perfect the development steps of our products: studying materials, measures, cut, mounting, etc.
R&D sustainable innovation
In recent years, a new mission has been entrusted to the Tech Center in order to meet the need for more responsible fashion, that of ecofriendly innovation. The Tech Center is leading studies and research on new ecofriendly processes in order to reduce the environmental impact of key stages in the product’s life cycle. For example, we have developed a coloring technique on material that saves 150 liters of water per kg of material used, considerably reducing the impact of the finishing step.
Unique know-how
105 years of fashion expertise, of Made in France designs, of technique and innovation… 105 years of corsetry know-how. Our lace is exclusive and all our models are designed by our Style teams. They collaborate with lace manufacturers and embroiderers, historical partners of the Group in France and the entire world for decades. Our annual lace consumption: over 7 million meters!
The live show runway
Etam’s annual runway show is an important event that reflects the brand’s expression through its technique and creativity. Over 100 spectacular and unique pieces designed by our team and made in our Tech center with the lace manufacturers. Craftsman embroiderers, plumetiers, dyers – most often French. Over 4000 hours of work for an exceptional show. This event is aslo a showcase of our environmental commitments : in 2020, all the show’s tulles were colored using the group’s new ecofriendly process. 20 silhouettes were made from upcycled materials.
