GOVERNANCE

Over the past few years, the Etam Group has been undertaking a profound transformation, structured and implemented in a systematic way.
Environmental and social considerations are now fully integrated into the Group’s governance to ensure consistency and long-term continuity. B Corp certification both confirms and reinforces this momentum by embedding these commitments into our practices on a lasting basis.

The Group’s CRS policy is a company-wide approach. Approved by the Executive Committee, the Group’s strategic direction and its medium- and long-term CSR objectives are overseen by the CSR Department, led by a member of the Management Committee.

These commitments are then translated into annual operational roadmaps for each department and each brand, ensuring consistent and cross-functional implementation across all levels and business functions of the Group.

« The WeCare programme is the Etam Group’s responsibility pact. It was launched in 2019, based on a clear observation: the textile industry has a significant environmental impact. As a leading player in the lingerie sector, we had a duty to act — for our customers, our people, and future generations. »
— Laurent Milchior, Chairman & CEO, Etam Group

ENGAGING OUR PEOPLE

All our people are involved in delivering the Group’s CSR strategy. Each department is assigned an annual CSR roadmap, which translates the strategic plan into operational actions and is reflected in individual objectives for teams. A portion of variable remuneration is also linked to performance against these objectives.

INTEGRATING CSR INTO DECISIONS

Environmental and social criteria are embedded across our decision-making processes, including product design, sourcing and procurement, packaging choices, logistics, store network renewal, marketing, and HR practices.

Our policies are reviewed regularly to strengthen requirements and continuously raise our level of ambition.

MONITORING OUR COMMITMENTS

CSR performance is monitored through a structured set of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). These indicators are consolidated, analysed, and shared through regular reviews with relevant departments, as well as the Management Committee, and are disclosed in our institutional reporting.

In 2025, the Etam Group obtained B Corp™ certification across all its global operations. This independent and international certification demonstrates the alignment between the Group’s commitments and its tangible achievements in social, environmental, and governance performance.

WHAT IS B CORP?

B Corp™ is a global movement led by the non-profit organisation B Lab™. The certification is obtained by companies that meet verified standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

The “B” in B Corp stands for “benefit” — for people and the planet, not just shareholders. The certification entails a legally binding commitment to incorporate a formal purpose and the consideration of all stakeholders into the company’s article of association.

As a certified B Corporation, we are proud to be part of a global movement of companies using collective action to work towards a more inclusive, equitable, and fair economy.

HOW DOES A COMPANY BECOME B CORP CERTIFIED?

To obtain the certification, companies must complete the B Impact Assessment (BIA), a comprehensive questionnaire supported by verifiable evidence.

This assessment covers areas such as the environment, governance, workers, customers, and community. The certification is valid for three years, after which companies must undergo reassessment to renew it.

« B Corp certification is not an end in itself; it forms part of the ongoing transformation undertaken by the Group since 2019 through our WeCare social and environmental responsibility strategy. »
— Kachen Hong Zwart, , Chief Sustainability Officer, Etam Group

Since 2021, 100% of Etam and Undiz products offer full transparency regarding their manufacturing sites (Tier 1). In-store, customers can scan a QR code on the product label to access detailed information about the factory where the product was made, which can include a video. This functionality is also available online.

Transparency and traceability across our supply chain are key pillars of our CSR strategy.

PARTNER FACTORY MAP

The Group continuously works to improve supply chain traceability, with the aim of achieving a comprehensive view of its value chain and ensuring production transparency.

To support this commitment, the Group has published the full list of its Tier 1 factories on the Open Apparel Registry (OAR).

OAR is an open-source platform that maps garment factories worldwide and assigns a unique identifier to each facility.

Convinced that the solution must be collective, the Etam Group is a member of various coalitions of companies working to make the textile industry more responsible. These partnerships and joint commitments with other players in the sector are essential for the Group to ensure the environmental and social transition of the textile industry.

As a signatory and member of the governance of the Fashion Pact, the Etam Group is committed to three objectives with more than 70 fashion and textile companies: curbing global warming, restoring biodiversity and protecting the oceans. Laurent Milchior, co-manager of the Group, sits on the Steering Committee of the Fashion Pact.
